Frequently Asked Questions

What type of boats do you rent?
We have a 2024 24' Bently Tritoon, 2013 25' Crest Tritoon and a 2008 20' StarCraft Tritoon.  We do not rent jet skis.

What is the minimum age to rent a boat?
You must be 25 years of age in order to rent.  ​

What lakes do you service?
We rent on Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee in South Carolina.

Is a boating license required?
The state of South Carolina does not require a boating license.  You must have a valid driver's license in order to rent.

Where is the boat picked up?
For Lake Keowee, pick-up and drop-off is at Mile Creek Park (757 Keowee Baptist Church Road  Six Mile, SC 29682).  For Lake Jocassee, pick-up and drop-off is at Devil's Fork State Park (161 Holcombe Circle  Salem, SC 29676).  The boat will be in the water at the dock ready for you.  There are entry fees into either park.

​What is included with the rental? 
All safety equipment is included. The boat is equipped with USCG life vests for each adult passenger, throwable, anchor, paddle, fire extinguisher and other equipment as required by SC DNR.  You will need to bring life vests for children under the age of 12.  The boat is full of gas when you arrive.  You are responsible for gas used during the rental period.   You do not need to return the boat full of gas.  For your convenience, we will refill the boat and charge your credit card on file.

When do we pay?
A deposit is required to hold your reservation.  The deposit is charged on your credit card, venmo or paypal when you reserve the boat.  The balance is due when the boat is picked up. The boat will be full of gas.  Upon your return, we will refill the boat with your credit card on file.

Do you rent water toys?
We have tow tubes, kneeboard and a 15' swim mat available for our customers to rent with our boat.  We provide the ropes for the toys.  Each toy is $50 to rent for the day. 

Are dogs allowed on the boat?
We will allow up dogs up to 10 lbs on our boats. 

Do your boats have barbeque grills?
​Sorry, we do not provide grills.  Grills CANNOT be brought on our boats, per insurance regulations.

Is there a map on the boat​?
Ye​s, there is a lake map on the boat to help you navigate the lake.  

What if it rains?

We will make arrangements for a credit in case of inclement weather or a per basis adjustment. Weather-related cancelations will be determined on the actual day of the rental since conditions and forecasts change.

What if I am late on returning?

For every 15 minutes late, returning the boat, there is a $50 charge. We know things happen, navigational misunderstandings, storms, etc; but please be aware, cushioning your allotted time.

Can I fish from your boats, and do I need a fishing license?

The only boat we allow fishing from is our StarCraft.  You will need to obtain a fishing license from the DNR website.  You can do everything online for the license.

Is there shade on the boat?

Yes, all of our boat include a top.  The 25' Crest Tritoon has a double bimini that allows you to cover partial or the entire interior of the boat.

What should I bring with me?

It is best to be prepared for all elements. Appropriate clothing for the season (layers), hat, sunglasses, water, snacks, sunscreen, towels, water shoes, dry box, or dry bag. We recommend you bring a cell phone for emergencies.​

Can I charge my phone on the boat?

If this is a concern, we recommend you bring a external battery or solar charger as the ports on the boat sometimes get wet and don't work.
